The xWellington Dukes relied on the scoring touch of Erick Delaurentis, who netted two goals, to beat the Orangeville Flyers, 4-0. Delaurentis scored on the power play at 16:59 into the first period to make the score 1-0 xWellington and again while 1:12 into the second to make the score 2-0 xWellington.Taylor Welsh frustrated Orangeville's offense all game, and stopped 40 shots en route to a shutout. Welsh managed to improve on his goals against average, which stood at 4.45 prior to the game. xWellington stifled the Flyers' power play, and did not give up a single goal while down a man. The Dukes' defense was surprisingly good. xWellington gives up 2.6 goals on average per game. The Dukes' offense rang up 54 shots on Orangeville's net. xWellington additionally got points from Mike Robinson, who also racked up one goal and one assist. Steven Deeg also scored for xWellington. Other players who recorded assists for xWellington were Andrew Coupland, Trevor Cope, Abbot Girduckis, Andrew McCann, Joe McKeown, Austin Broadhurst, and Alex Carnevale, who each chipped in one. The Flyers' offense operated below they season average.
