yAurora outlasts Lindsay, 4-2Lindsay Recreation Centre Fri, Feb 07, 2014 Story by Narrative Science.
The yAurora Tigers gutted out a close 4-2 win against the Lindsay Muskies. No lead was more than two goals during the contest, and the winning goal was scored by Kory Kennedy at 8:23 of the third period. Taylor McCloy had two goals to lead yAurora to victory. McCloy found the back of the net short handed 5:00 into the second period to make the score 1-1 and again while 18:51 into the third to make the score 4-2 yAurora. The Tigers kept Lindsay's goalie busy throughout the game, and Mathew Robson made 40 saves on 44 shots. Adam DiBrina also scored for yAurora. Other players who recorded assists for yAurora were Robert Angiolella, who had two and Dylan Sikura and Michael Laidley, who contributed one a piece. The Muskies stifled yAurora's power play, and did not give up a single goal while down a man. Lindsay was helped by Austin Eastman, who finished with one goal. Eastman scored 10:41 into the first period to make the score 1-0 Lindsay. Keegan Cairns picked up the assist. Lindsay also got a goal from Jake Ryan as well. In addition, Lindsay received assists from Joseph Vocino, who had one. Kevin Entmaa rejected 26 shots on goal for the Tigers. yAurora incurred 10 minutes in penalty time with five minors. The Muskies incurred 14 minutes in penalty time with seven minors.
