The xKingston Voyageurs gutted out a close 4-3 win against the xTrenton Golden Hawks.

Each team kept the other at bay throughout the game, and Brett Seney secured the win for xKingston with a goal in the third period.

The Voyageurs got the win thanks to a great game by Alex Tonge, who had one goal and two assists. Tonge scored 6:00 into the third period to make the score 3-3.

xKingston also got points from Adam Brady, who also tallied one goal and one assist. xKingston also got a goal from Wyatt Cota as well. In addition, xKingston received assists from Adam Moodie and Jarret Kup, who contributed one a piece.

xTrenton forced xKingston goalie Sam Tanguay to work between the pipes, taking 40 shots.

The Golden Hawks were helped by Brian Hurlimann, who registered one goal. Hurlimann scored 15:03 into the second period to make the score 2-2. Fabrizio Ricci assisted on the tally. xTrenton additionally got points from Ricci, who also finished with one goal and one assist to lead the team in points. Tyler Donaldson also scored for xTrenton. More assists for xTrenton came via Tyler Mayea, Danny Liscio, Bobby Polachek, Zach de Concilys, and Hunter Fargey, who each chipped in one.

The Voyageurs' Tanguay stopped 37 shots out of the 40 that he faced. xKingston incurred eight minutes in penalty time with four minors. Denny Dubblestyne made 24 saves for xTrenton on 28 shots. The Golden Hawks incurred 10 minutes in penalty time with five minors.
