xNorth York rolls over Hamilton, 7-2

The xNorth York Rangers were firing on all cylinders against the Hamilton Red Wings, and when the final buzzer sounded Rangers emerged with a 7-2 win.

Liam Kerins had four goals to lead xNorth York to victory. Kerins notched his first tally 1:22 into the first period. He then added goals at 13:27 into the first, at 10:54 into the third, and at 14:08 into the third.

Hamilton's six penalties came back to haunt it, as the Red Wings let up five goals while on the penalty kill.

The Rangers forced Hamilton's goalies to work all game long, taking 41 shots and forcing 34 saves. Mark Sinclair made 28 stops and Corey Foster made six. xNorth York surpassed its usual scoring output this season. This season, the Rangers average 3.7 goals per contest.

xNorth York additionally got points from Fung Zachary, who also grabbed one goal and one assist and Gabriel Valenzuela, who also finished with one goal and three assists. Tye Campbell also scored for xNorth York. Other players who recorded assists for xNorth York were Corey Kalk, who had two, Alex Leader, who had three, and Ted Hunt, Jason Pucciarelli, Matthew Whittaker, and John Carpino, who contributed one a piece.

The Red Wings were led by Cole Poliziani, who finished with one goal. Poliziani scored 6:23 into the second period to make the score 4-2 xNorth York. Mitch Reid picked up the assist. Hamilton also got a goal from Connor Bramwell as well. More assists for Hamilton came via Brandon Kolaski, Adam Burnett, and Joel Knight, who each chipped in one.

xNorth York's Pucciarelli stopped 26 shots out of the 28 that he faced. The Rangers incurred eight minutes in penalty time with four minors. Hamilton incurred 12 minutes in penalty time with six minors.
