Ian Farrell had one goal and two assists to lead the Newmarket Hurricanes to a 7-3 victory over the Orangeville Flyers.

In the losing effort, Orangeville was led by Connor Stack, who tallied two goals. Stack scored the first of his two goals at 3:51 into the first period to make the score 1-0 Orangeville. Mercer assisted on the tally. Stack's next tally made the score 4-2 Newmarket with 15:43 left in the second period. Emmerson Small picked up the assist.

Newmarket forced the Flyers goalie Wyatt Pickrell to work between the pipes, taking 46 shots. The Hurricanes outdid their season average for goals scored. Newmarket averages 3.8 goals per game.

Newmarket additionally got points from Brandon Francisco, who also racked up two goals and one assist. Orangeville also got a goal from Ryan Anton as well. More assists for Orangeville came via Brian Fonseca, who had one and Lucas Smilsky, who had two.

The Hurricanes' Bo Bessette stopped 20 shots out of the 23 that he faced. Newmarket incurred six minutes in penalty time with three minors. Pickrell rejected 39 shots on goal for Orangeville. The Flyers incurred 10 minutes in penalty time with five minors. For Orangeville, Scott Goodman was ejected from the game.
