The St. Michaels Buzzers had a three-goal lead after two periods and cruised the rest of the way en route to a 5-1 win over the Oakville Blades. Oakville was stymied by St. Michaels netminder George Argiropoulos, who stopped 27 shots during the victory. The solid play of Argiropoulos will be reflected in his goals against average, which pre-game was 2.7. The Buzzers' penalty kill excelled, as St. Michaels gave up zero goals despite allowing six power plays. The Buzzers stifled the Blades' power play, and did not give up a single goal while down a man. Oakville was unable to stop St. Michaels from sending pucks towards the net, and the Buzzers eventually piled up 37 shots on goal. St. Michaels' defensemen played an important role in the offense, chipping in two goals. The Buzzers were helped by Marco Ferraro, who had one goal and one assist. Ferraro scored 1:51 into the second period to make the score 2-0 St. Michaels. Angelpooulos Peter assisted on the tally. St. Michaels additionally got points from Thomas Beretta, who also registered one goal and one assist, Matt Alvaro, who also had one goal and one assist, and Peter, who also racked up one goal and one assist. Ian Edmondson also scored for St. Michaels. More assists for St. Michaels came via Stefano Pezzetta and Jake Evans, who each chipped in two. The Blades stifled St. Michaels' power play, and did not give up a single goal while down a man. Oakville was held below its usual level of production. The Blades average 3.1 goals per game.
