The xNorth York Rangers and the Stouffville Spirit were evenly matched throughout their contest, but xNorth York made the most of its opportunities and won, 4-2. The Rangers gained the winning advantage on a goal by Liam Kerins 9:26 into the second period and hung on until final buzzer. xNorth York was led by Kerins, who tallied one goal. The the Rangers penalty box was a popular destination as the team totaled five minors and two majors for 20 minutes in penalty time. xNorth York had been averaging 18.0 minutes in penalties per game. The Rangers excelled on the penalty kill, not giving up a single goal in five chances. xNorth York kept Stouffville's goalie busy throughout the game, and Daniel Mannella made 30 saves on 34 shots. xNorth York also got points from Ted Hunt, who also registered one goal and one assist and Corey Kalk, who also had one goal and one assist. xNorth York also got a goal from Tye Campbell as well. In addition, xNorth York received assists from John Carpino, who had two and Valadao Adam, Corey Helliwell, and Gabriel Valenzuela, who contributed one a piece. The Rangers were unable to stop the Spirit from sending pucks towards the net, and Stouffville eventually piled up 41 shots on goal. The Spirit were helped by Nick Thomakos, who tallied one goal. Thomakos scored 8:22 into the second period to make the score 2-2. Kyler Challis picked up the assist. Daryl Thompson also scored for Stouffville. Other players who recorded assists for Stouffville were Michael Morgan and Cameron Lintner, who each chipped in one. Gianluca Baggetta made 39 saves for xNorth York on 41 shots. The Rangers registered one goal on three power play opportunities. Team's Campbell and Carpino were slapped with misconducts and ejected from the game. Stouffville ended with 13 minutes in penalty time with four minors and one major. The Spirit ran into serious disciplinary problems during the contest, and Graham Pickard was ejected from the game.
