Aurora blows out St. Michaels, 4-1

The Aurora Tigers had a two-goal lead after two periods and cruised the rest of the way en route to a 4-1 win over the St. Michaels Buzzers.

Aurora was sparked by Tyler Boston, who tallied one goal and one assist. Boston scored 5:07 into the first period to make the score 2-0 Aurora. Drake Board assisted on the tally.

The Tigers managed to stay out of the box better than usual, totaling one minor for two minutes in penalty time. Aurora wound up below its season average of 14.0 penalty minutes per game. The Tigers kept St. Michaels' goalie busy throughout the game, and George Argiropoulos made 30 saves on 34 shots.

Aurora also had goals scored by Kory Kennedy, Kyle Liu, and Robert Angiolella, who scored one goal each. Other players who recorded assists for Aurora were Dylan Sikura, who had one.

The Buzzers excelled on the penalty kill, not giving up a single goal in six chances. St. Michaels' offense operated below it season average. The Buzzers put an average of 3.2 pucks into the net per game.

St. Michaels was led by Angelpooulos Peter, who scored the team's only goal. Peter scored on the power play 9:54 into the second period to make the score 2-1 Aurora. The Buzzers had gotten the advantage when Aurora's Michael Laidley was sent off for holding. Bron Loiselle picked up the assist.

The Tigers' Kevin Entmaa stopped 24 shots out of the 25 that he faced. St. Michaels incurred 12 minutes in penalty time with six minors.
