Hamilton rides Sinclair to victory over Burlington, 4-1

Mark Sinclair had a standout game with 29 saves, and the Hamilton Red Wings beat the Burlington Cougars 4-1.

Hamilton was led by Nathan Gomes, who finished with one goal and one assist. Gomes scored 9:34 into the second period to make the score 2-1 Hamilton.

The Red Wings kept Burlington's goalie busy throughout the game, and Jeremy Currie made 36 saves on 40 shots.

Others who scored for Hamilton included riley dunda, Garnet Batrynchok, and Alex Zaccaria, who scored one goal each. More assists for Hamilton came via Luke Sinclair, Niko Porikos, and adam burnett, who each chipped in one.

The Cougars were led by Christian Burel, who scored the team's only goal. Burel scored 5:28 into the second period to make the score 1-1. Dillon Ciprietti assisted on the tally.

Hamilton incurred six minutes in penalty time with three minors. Burlington totaled 31 minutes in penalty time with three minors and one major and went 0-for-2 on the power play. For the Cougars, Brad Johnson and Tyler Lepore were ejected from the contest.
