Kingston rides Brooks-Potts to victory over Lindsay, 4-1

Alex Brooks-Potts stood on his head and made 30 saves to lead the Kingston Voyageurs to a 4-1 victory over the Lindsay Muskies.

Kingston managed to stay out of the box better than usual, totaling one minor for two minutes in penalty time. The Voyageurs ended up below its season average of 16.0 penalty minutes per game. Kingston's offense rang up 36 shots on Lindsay's net.

The Voyageurs were helped by Brandon O Quinn, who racked up two goals. O Quinn scored the first of his two goals at 5:06 into the second period to make the score 2-0 Kingston. Michael Casale assisted on the tally. O Quinn's next tally made the score 3-0 Kingston with 14:28 left in the second period. Blake ONeill picked up the assist. Kingston additionally got points from Casale, who also registered one goal and one assist to lead the team in points. Kingston also got a goal from Zachary Emelifeonwu as well. In addition, Kingston received assists from Spencer Green, who had one.

Kingston was unable to stop the Muskies from sending pucks towards the net, and Lindsay eventually piled up 31 shots on goal.

The Muskies were led by Vince Herlihey, who scored the team's only goal. Herlihey scored 3:24 into the third period to make the score 3-1 Kingston.

The Voyageurs registered zero goals on two power play opportunities. Branden Francey made 32 saves for Lindsay on 36 shots. The Muskies incurred four minutes in penalty time with two minors.
