The Milton Icehawks had a four-goal lead after two periods and cruised the rest of the way en route to a 7-2 win over the Orangeville Flyers. Jeremy Gottzmann had one goal and three assists to lead Milton. Gottzmann scored 10:43 into the second period to make the score 4-0 Milton. Josh Pace picked up the assist. Orangeville's power play was ineffective against the Icehawks' penalty kill, which allowed one goal while shorthanded. Milton racked up the penalties in the contest, and ended with nine minors and one major for 43 minutes in penalty time. The Icehawks had been averaging 24.0 minutes in penalties per game. The Flyers were unable to stop Milton from sending pucks towards the net, and the Icehawks eventually piled up 36 shots on goal. Milton surpassed its usual scoring output this season. The Icehawks have scored at the pace of 3.5 goals per game during the current campaign. Milton also got points from Mitch Graham, who also grabbed one goal and one assist, Cooper Richards, who also racked up one goal and three assists, and Pace, who also tallied one goal and one assist. Others who scored for Milton included Alex Riche, Bryce Abraham, and Ryan Burns, who each put in one. More assists for Milton came via TJ Fergus, who had two and Evan Denley, Steven Goeree, and Joseph Benvenuto, who each chipped in one. Orangeville managed to stay out of the box for the most part, tallying one minor for 42 minutes in penalty time. The total was was till above the Flyers' average of 21.0 minutes in penalty time per game. Ben Blacker recorded 24 saves for Milton. The Icehawks registered one goal on four power play opportunities. Milton ran into serious disciplinary problems during the contest, and Denley was ejected from the game. Wyatt Pickrell made 29 saves for Orangeville on 36 shots.
