Aurora downs Toronto, 4-0

Eric Williams registered two points to lead the Aurora Tigers to a 4-0 victory over the Toronto Junior Canadiens.

Aurora put up an impenetrable defensive front on the penalty kill, and did not allow Toronto to score on any of its five power plays. The Tigers was steadier on the defensive front than they have been for much of this season. Aurora gives up 2.3 goals on average per game. The Tigers kept the Junior Canadiens' goalie busy throughout the game, and Nathan Colitto made 30 saves on 34 shots. Team's forwards weren't the only contributers offensively, and the team's defensemen showcased their scoring touch with two goals.

Aurora also had goals scored by Callum Fryer, Michael Laidley, and Curtis Warren, who scored one goal each. Other players who recorded assists for Aurora were Dylan Sikura, who had two and Tyler Boston, Adam DiBrina, and Calvin Higley, who contributed one a piece.

Toronto could not produce up to it normal offensive output. The Junior Canadiens average 3.4 goals per game. Penalties took their toll on Toronto, as its penalty kill unit let in two power play goals.

Kevin Entmaa rejected 24 shots on goal for Aurora. The Tigers incurred 12 minutes in penalty time with six minors. The Junior Canadiens incurred eight minutes in penalty time with four minors.
