The Trenton Golden Hawks climbed out of a two-goal hole to beat the St. Michaels Buzzers, 4-3. Trenton never led in the game until netting the game winner. The Golden Hawks trailed 3-1 after a power play goal by St. Michaels' CJ Shugart at 15:18 in the second period. Trenton tied things up at 3-3 on a goal by Danny Liscio at 17:40 in the second period. The Golden Hawks got the game winner on the power play at 9:29 in the third period on a goal by Liscio. Brady Wiffen was all over the ice for Trenton, as he registered two goals in the win. The Golden Hawks' offense rang up 45 shots on the Buzzers' net. Trenton also got a goal from Hunter Fargey as well. Other players who recorded assists for Trenton were Tyler Mayea, Mathew Thompson, Tyler Donaldson, Dylan Savory, Zach de Concilys, Tyler Sehovic, and Brian Hurlimann, who each chipped in one. St. Michaels kept Trenton's goalie busy throughout the game, and Denny Dubblestyne made 28 saves on 31 shots. The Buzzers' penalty killing units received substantial work throughout the game as St. Michaels finished with 20 penalty minutes. Bron Loiselle also scored for St. Michaels. In addition, St. Michaels received assists from Jordan Schneider, Stefano Pezzetta, Jake Evans, and Angelpooulos Peter, who contributed one a piece. The Golden Hawks incurred 16 minutes in penalty time with eight minors. George Argiropoulos rejected 41 shots on goal for the Buzzers. St. Michaels registered one goal on six power play opportunities. |
