xKingston's Bolton deadly on offense in 6-3 win against Toronto

The xKingston Voyageurs relied on the scoring touch of Cole Bolton, who netted two goals, to beat the Toronto Junior Canadiens, 6-3.

Bolton found the back of the net 11:26 into the first period to make the score 2-2 and again while 5:21 into the second to make the score 4-2 xKingston.

xKingston forced Toronto goalie Nathan Colitto to work between the pipes, taking 43 shots. The Voyageurs found the back of the net more times than it usually has this season. xKingston averages 3.8 goals per game.

xKingston also had goals scored by Alex Tonge, who had two and Brandon O Quinn and Brett Du Puy, who each put in one. Other players who recorded assists for xKingston were Michael Crocock, Mason Nowak, Adam Brady, Michael Casale, and Spencer Green, who contributed one a piece and Brett Seney and Brody Heleno, who each chipped in two.

The Junior Canadiens' penalty kill was spotless, allowing no goals on five xKingston power plays. Toronto's offense rang up 36 shots on the Voyageurs' net.

The Junior Canadiens were helped by Daniel Volpe, who racked up one goal. Volpe scored 6:53 into the first period to make the score 2-0 Toronto. Aaron Thow assisted on the tally. Others who scored for Toronto included Kennedy Duguid and Aaron Spivak, who scored one goal each. In addition, Toronto received assists from Jake Walman, Cody Thompson, Sal Filice, and Anthony Repaci, who contributed one a piece.

Alex Brooks-Potts rejected 33 shots on goal for xKingston. The Voyageurs incurred 22 minutes in penalty time with six minors. Colitto recorded 37 saves for Toronto. The Junior Canadiens incurred 12 minutes in penalty time with six minors.
