Tutton's goals lift Pickering to 3-0 victory over Oakville

The Pickering Panthers relied on the scoring touch of Brodie Tutton, who netted two goals, to beat the Oakville Blades, 3-0.

Tutton's tallies came at 13:19 into the second period to make the score 1-0 Pickering and 18:39 into the second to make the score 2-0 Pickering.

Pickering excelled on the penalty kill, not giving up a single goal in five chances. Oakville was unable to stop the Panthers from sending pucks towards the net, and Pickering eventually piled up 46 shots on goal.

Pickering also got a goal from Robert Cammalleri as well. In addition, Pickering received assists from Michael Walker, Mark Tenuta, and Mike Nedoszytko, who contributed one a piece.

The Blades put up an impenetrable defensive front on the penalty kill, and did not allow the Panthers to score on any of their seven power plays. Oakville could not produce up to it normal offensive output. The Blades average 3.0 goals per game. Oakville's penalty killing units received substantial work throughout the game as the Blades finished with 24 penalty minutes.

Steven Dombrosky recorded 24 saves for Pickering. The Panthers incurred 12 minutes in penalty time with six minors. Oakville's Evan Buitenhuis stopped 43 shots out of the 46 that he faced.
