De Concilys' big game bests Mississauga in 7-3 Trenton win

Zach de Concilys had two goals and two assists to lead the Trenton Golden Hawks to a 7-3 victory over the Mississauga Chargers.

De Concilys scored at 7:52 into the first period to make the score 2-0 Trenton and again while short handed 53 seconds into the second to make the score 3-1 Trenton.

Trenton pulled out the victory even though it was hit with 24 penalty minutes.

The Golden Hawks' offense rang up 62 shots on Mississauga's net. Trenton bested its season scoring average. The Golden Hawks average 4.5 goals per game.

Trenton additionally got points from Tyler Donaldson, who also racked up one goal and one assist, Jason Zaleski, who also grabbed one goal and three assists, and Bobby Polachek, who also finished with one goal and one assist. Fabrizio Ricci also scored for Trenton. Other players who recorded assists for Trenton were Brett Seldon, who had two and Chrisitian Lloyd and Dalton Lawrence, who each chipped in one.

The Chargers excelled on the penalty kill, not giving up a single goal in three chances. Mississauga kept Trenton's goalie busy throughout the game, and Denny Dubblestyne made 34 saves on 37 shots.

The Chargers were led by Vince Figliomeni, who registered one goal and two assists. Figliomeni scored 6:04 into the second period to make the score 3-2 Trenton. Zackery Landsfield provided the assist. Mississauga also got a goal from Nick Tetley as well. More assists for Mississauga came via Ryan Hunter, Stefano Alonzi, and Mitch Mehling, who contributed one a piece.

Austin Washkurak made 55 saves for Mississauga on 62 shots. The Chargers incurred 10 minutes in penalty time with five minors.
