The Whitby Fury's Taylor Best had a big offensive game, scoring one goal and contributing four assists in his team's 8-4 win over the Kingston Voyageurs. Best got on the board by slotting home a goal 43 seconds into the second period to make the score 3-2 Whitby. Greg Milner assisted on the tally. Best dished an assist on Jeff Murray's goal that made the score 1-1 at 11:24 into the first period. He then added assists on Milner's goal at 14:03 into the first, on Marcus Crawford's goal at 5:26 into the second, and on Murray's goal at 15:39 into the second.Whitby forced Kingston's netminders to work between the pipes, taking 34 shots and forcing 26 saves. Ethan Wood made 20 stops and Alex Brooks-Potts made six. The Fury surpassed their usual scoring output this season. Whitby has scored at the pace of 4.4 goals per game during the current campaign. The Fury cashed in on power play opportunities, scoring three goals on four chances. Whitby additionally got points from Mike Panowyk, who also grabbed two goals and three assists and Milner, who also tallied one goal and two assists. Boyd Diclemente made 36 saves for the Fury on 40 shots. Whitby incurred 14 minutes in penalty time with seven minors. The Fury ran into serious disciplinary problems during the contest, and McAuliffe was ejected from the game. The Voyageurs ended with 13 minutes in penalty time with four minors and one major. For Kingston, Brett Seney was ejected from the game.
