Trenton holds on for 3-2 win against Toronto Lakeshore

The Toronto Lakeshore Patriots tried to dig themselves out of a two-goal hole, but the Trenton Golden Hawks held on for a 3-2 victory.

Trenton took a 3-1 lead during the third period, only to have Toronto Lakeshore storm back on a Rory Bell goal 13:25 into the third period to pull to one goal down.

The Golden Hawks were led by Tyler Donaldson, who finished with one goal. Donaldson scored 11:39 into the third period to make the score Trenton. Hunter Fargey picked up the assist.

Trenton excelled on the penalty kill, not giving up a single goal in four chances.

Trenton also got points from Fargey, who also registered one goal and one assist. Trenton also got a goal from Nick Santoro as well. More assists for Trenton came via Brady Wiffen, who had two and Brett Seldon, Zach de Concilys, and Brian Hurlimann, who each chipped in one.

Andreas Tsogkas also scored for Toronto Lakeshore. In addition, Toronto Lakeshore received assists from Jack OHara, Matthew Marchese, Nathan Feric, and Matthew McLeod, who contributed one a piece.

Denny Dubblestyne rejected 22 shots on goal for the Golden Hawks. Trenton incurred 14 minutes in penalty time with seven minors. Jeremy Helvig made 16 saves for the Patriots on 19 shots. Toronto Lakeshore incurred 10 minutes in penalty time with five minors.
