Kingston squeaks by Milton, 4-3

In a game where neither team could get a cushion, the Kingston Voyageurs escaped with a 4-3 victory over the Milton Icehawks.

No lead was more than two goals during the contest, and the winning goal was scored by Cole Bolton at 16:36 of the third period.

Kingston was paced by Bolton, who tallied one goal and one assist.

Milton was unable to stop the Voyageurs from sending pucks towards the net, and Kingston eventually piled up 43 shots on goal.

Kingston additionally got points from Spender Lee, who also grabbed one goal and one assist. Brandon O Quinn also scored for Kingston. More assists for Kingston came via Alex Tonge, who had two and Mason Nowak, Adam Brady, and Jarret Kup, who each chipped in one.

The Icehawks forced the Voyageurs goalie Alex Brooks-Potts to work between the pipes, taking 35 shots.

Milton was helped by Josh Pace, who grabbed one goal. Pace scored short handed 19:40 into the first period to make the score 1-0 Milton. The Icehawks found themselves down a man on Ryan Burns's tripping. Jake Baird assisted on the tally. Milton also got a goal from Cooper Richards as well. Other players who recorded assists for Milton were Kane Elliot, who had one and Shane Bennett, who had two.

Alex Brooks-Potts made 32 saves for Kingston on 35 shots. The Voyageurs incurred 10 minutes in penalty time with five minors. Tyler Lewis recorded 39 saves for Milton. The Icehawks incurred 18 minutes in penalty time with four minors.
