Kingston survives Trenton comeback, wins 4-3

The Kingston Voyageurs survived a determined comeback attempt by the Trenton Golden Hawks on the way to a 4-3 win.

A goal by Brett Seney put Kingston up 4-1 in the second period, but Trenton pulled to within one on Zach de Concilys's tally 6:09 into the third period.

The Voyageurs were helped by Spencer Green, who registered one goal. Green scored 14:08 into the second period to make the score 3-1 Kingston. Maxim Pitre picked up the assist. Kingston additionally got points from Seney, who also racked up one goal and one assist and Alex Tonge, who also grabbed one goal and one assist. Kingston also got a goal from Joey Rutkowski as well. More assists for Kingston came via Jarret Kup, who had one and Brandon O Quinn, who had two.

Kingston was unable to stop the Golden Hawks from sending pucks towards the net, and Trenton eventually piled up 31 shots on goal.

The Golden Hawks were helped by Brady Wiffen, who tallied one goal. Wiffen scored 9:55 into the second period to make the score 2-1 Kingston. Jason Zaleski assisted on the tally. Trenton also got points from de Concilys, who also finished with one goal and one assist to lead the team in points. Danny Liscio also scored for Trenton. In addition, Trenton received assists from Nick Santoro and Tyler Sehovic, who contributed one a piece.

Alex Brooks-Potts rejected 28 shots on goal for the Voyageurs. Kingston incurred six minutes in penalty time with three minors. Denny Dubblestyne made 14 saves before being replaced by Emerson Verrier, who took the loss and made seven saves. Trenton incurred 16 minutes in penalty time with eight minors.
