Buffalo's Moses (APJ) deadly on offense in 9-2 win against Oakville

Behind a great game by Chris Moses (APJ), who had two goals, the Buffalo Jr. Sabres defeated the Oakville Blades, 9-2.

Moses (APJ) found the back of the net 3:20 into the first period to make the score 1-0 Buffalo and again while 11:22 into the first to make the score 3-1 Buffalo.

Buffalo forced Blades' goaltenders to work all game long, ripping 45 shots and forcing 36 saves. Brendan McGlynn made 25 stops and James Cyfko (APM) made 11. The Jr. Sabres found the back of the net more times than it usually has this season. Buffalo has scored at the pace of 4.9 goals per game during the current campaign.

Buffalo additionally got points from Nick Desimone, who also registered one goal and one assist and Tim Kielich, who also tallied one goal and one assist. Others who scored for Buffalo included Darren McCormick, who had two and Nico Gonzalez, Dylan Gamble, and Pat Egan, who each put in one. More assists for Buffalo came via Jason Heerdt, who had two, Brandon Schaber, Michael Ederer, Max Mikowski, Nathan Black, and Nick Smith, who contributed one a piece, and Mason Evans and Nolan Sheeran, who each chipped in three.

Oakville forced the Jr. Sabres goalie Joseph Pianta to work between the pipes, taking 34 shots.

The Blades were helped by Dalton Bew, who had one goal. Bew scored 10:44 into the first period to make the score 2-1 Buffalo. Sean Perichak provided the assist. Ross Sloan also scored for Oakville. In addition, Oakville received assists from Kamil Tkaczuk and Greg Campbell, who contributed one a piece.

Buffalo's Pianta stopped 32 shots out of the 34 that he faced. The Jr. Sabres incurred four minutes in penalty time with two minors. Oakville incurred eight minutes in penalty time with four minors.
