The Trenton Golden Hawks' Brady Wiffen had a big offensive game, scoring two goals and contributing three assists in his team's 8-3 win over the Pickering Panthers. Wiffen found the back of the net on the power play 1:37 into the first period to make the score 1-0 Trenton and again while 7:02 into the second to make the score 5-0 Trenton.Pickering fell victim to a deadly Trenton power play, which ripped the Panthers for four goals. The Golden Hawks made Pickering's netminders to work hard to keep the puck out of the net, racking up 38 shots and forcing 30 saves. Greg Zupan made 18 stops and Steven Dombrosky made 12. Trenton bested its season scoring average. The Golden Hawks have scored at the pace of 4.1 goals per game during the current campaign. Trenton got an offensive boost from its blueliners, who contributed two goals during the game. Trenton also got points from Tyler Mayea, who also grabbed two goals and one assist, Fabrizio Ricci, who also racked up one goal and one assist, Danny Liscio, who also registered two goals and one assist, and Jason Zaleski, who also tallied one goal and one assist. Other players who recorded assists for Trenton were Chrisitian Lloyd, who had three, Zach de Concilys, who had four, and Bobby Polachek and Tyler Sehovic, who each chipped in one. The Golden Hawks' Emerson Verrier stopped 17 shots out of the 20 that he faced. Trenton incurred 10 minutes in penalty time with five minors. The Panthers incurred 12 minutes in penalty time with six minors.
