Kingston outlasts Pickering, 4-2

In a game where neither team could get a cushion, the Kingston Voyageurs escaped with a 4-2 victory over the Pickering Panthers.

Neither team gained more than a two-goal lead, and Spencer Green's goal in the third period proved to be the difference maker.

Green had two goals to lead Kingston to victory.

The Voyageurs' offense rang up 31 shots on Pickering's net.

Kingston also got a goal from Zachary Emelifeonwu as well. Other players who recorded assists for Kingston were Brett Seney, Wyatt Cota, Adam Brady, Alex Tonge, Brody Heleno, and Brad Vaughn, who contributed one a piece.

The Panthers stifled Kingston's power play, and did not give up a single goal while down a man.

Pickering was helped by Riley Devine, who registered one goal. Devine scored 5:37 into the first period to make the score 1-0 Pickering. Robert Cammalleri assisted on the tally. Mark Tenuta also scored for Pickering. More assists for Pickering came via Corey Helliwell, Nicholas Lepone, and Mike Nedoszytko, who each chipped in one.

The Voyageurs' Alex Brooks-Potts stopped 22 shots out of the 24 that he faced. Kingston incurred four minutes in penalty time with two minors. Steven Dombrosky rejected 27 shots on goal for the Panthers. Pickering incurred 16 minutes in penalty time with three minors.
