Wellington downs St. Michaels in overtime, 2-1 (OT)

The Wellington Dukes' Erick Delaurentis scored 4:10 into overtime to beat the St. Michaels Buzzers, 2-1 (OT).

Wellington was led by goalie Adam Wood, who finished with 29 saves while allowing one goal. Wood certainly lowered his goals against average, which was 2.92 entering the contest.

The Dukes were paced by Delaurentis, who tallied one goal.

Wellington's penalty kill was spotless, allowing no goals on three St. Michaels power plays. The Dukes kept St. Michaels' goalie busy throughout the game, and Bo Bessette made 44 saves on 46 shots.

Mike Soucier also scored for Wellington. In addition, Wellington received assists from Spencer Turcotte and Cody Gratton, who each chipped in one.

The Buzzers' offense operated below they season average. St. Michaels puts an average of 3.3 pucks into the net per game.

The Buzzers were led by Joseph Berton, who scored the team's only goal. Berton scored 5:30 into the third period to make the score 1-1. Matt Alvaro picked up the assist.

Wellington incurred six minutes in penalty time with three minors. For the Dukes, Jacob Hetherington was ejected from the game. St. Michaels incurred four minutes in penalty time with two minors. The Buzzers ran into serious disciplinary problems during the contest, and Jake Evans was ejected from the game.
