Repaci's big game bests Toronto Lakeshore in 8-5 Toronto win

Behind a great game by Anthony Repaci, who had one goal and three assists, the Toronto Junior Canadiens defeated the Toronto Lakeshore Patriots, 8-5.

Repaci scored 8:21 into the first period to make the score 3-0 Toronto. Jake Walman assisted on the tally. Repaci dished an assist on Will Lawrence's goal that made the score 1-0 Toronto at 2:03 into the first period. He then added assists on Aaron Spivak's goal at 17:11 into the first and on Evan Erickson's goal at 15:41 into the second.

Toronto Lakeshore's power play was ineffective against Toronto's penalty kill, which allowed one goal while shorthanded.

The Junior Canadiens outdid their season average for goals scored. Toronto has scored at the pace of 3.7 goals per game during the current campaign. The Junior Canadiens found themselves short handed often, totaling 36 penalty minutes and allowing seven power plays.

Toronto also got points from Spivak, who also racked up one goal and three assists and Daniel Harquail, who also tallied two goals and one assist. Toronto also got a goal from Aaron Thow as well. Other players who recorded assists for Toronto were Mark Spadafora, Kennedy Duguid, Josh Finkelstein, Daniel Volpe, and Michael Cuddemi, who each chipped in one.

Toronto was unable to stop the Patriots from sending pucks towards the net, and Toronto Lakeshore eventually piled up 36 shots on goal.

The Junior Canadiens' Daniel Lopapa stopped 31 shots out of the 36 that he faced. Toronto registered one goal on four power play opportunities. For the Junior Canadiens, Finkelstein was ejected from the game. The Patriots took out Mark Manolescu after he had made 19 saves and installed Jeremy Helvig in goal, where he finished with two saves and the loss. Toronto Lakeshore incurred 30 minutes in penalty time with five minors.
