Huge game by Italiano boosts St. Michaels over Lindsay, 5-2

David Italiano had two goals and two assists to lead the St. Michaels Buzzers to a 5-2 victory over the Lindsay Muskies.

Italiano scored on the power play at 11:57 into the second period to make the score 1-0 St. Michaels and again while 14:22 into the third to make the score 5-1 St. Michaels.

St. Michaels' offense rang up 47 shots on Lindsay's net.

St. Michaels also got points from Jake Evans, who also tallied one goal and three assists to lead the team in points and Bron Loiselle, who also registered one goal and one assist. St. Michaels also got a goal from Danylo Znaczko as well. Other players who recorded assists for St. Michaels were Ian Edmondson, who had two and Ashur Elliot and Ted Hunt, who contributed one a piece.

The Buzzers were unable to stop the Muskies from sending pucks towards the net, and Lindsay eventually piled up 41 shots on goal.

The Muskies were led by Vince Herlihey, who racked up one goal and one assist. Herlihey scored 17:00 into the third period to make the score 5-2 St. Michaels. Bryan Hignett provided the assist. Stefan Von Egelbrechten also scored for Lindsay. More assists for Lindsay came via Austin Eastman and Davis Gadjovich, who each chipped in one.

St. Michaels' Bo Bessette stopped 39 shots out of the 41 that he faced. The Buzzers incurred eight minutes in penalty time with four minors. Branden Francey made 42 saves for Lindsay on 47 shots. The Muskies incurred 10 minutes in penalty time with five minors.
