Toronto Lakeshore uses early goal to top Burlington, 4-2

The Toronto Lakeshore Patriots took the lead against the Burlington Cougars in the first period and maintained it until the end of the game to secure a tight 4-2 victory.

A goal 5:26 into the the first period by Jack OHara proved to be the game winner, and powered Toronto Lakeshore to the victory Kevin Shier picked up the assist.

The Patriots were led by Luke Carter, who registered one goal. Carter scored 16:37 into the second period to make the score 3-1 Toronto Lakeshore. Rory Bell provided the assist.

Toronto Lakeshore was led by Carter, who racked up one goal.

The Patriots stifled Burlington's power play, and did not give up a single goal while down a man. Toronto Lakeshore kept the Cougars' goalie busy throughout the game, and Devin Tappendan made 31 saves on 35 shots.

Toronto Lakeshore additionally got points from OHara, who also had one goal and one assist. Toronto Lakeshore also got a goal from Marcus Rose as well. More assists for Toronto Lakeshore came via Tyler Currie, who had two and Andreas Tsogkas, Doug Bonar, and Michael Prapavessis, who contributed one a piece.

The Patriots were unable to stop Burlington from sending pucks towards the net, and the Cougars eventually piled up 32 shots on goal.

Burlington was led by Daniel Campbell, who grabbed two goals. Campbell scored the first of his two goals at 19:29 into the first period to make the score 2-1 Toronto Lakeshore. Tyler Lepore assisted on the tally. Campbell's next tally made the score 3-2 Toronto Lakeshore with 7:44 left in the third period.
