BC Junior Canucks vanquishes California 03s in shootout, 4-3 (3-1 SO)

Three periods of regulation and an overtime session were not enough to settle matters as BC Junior Canucks defeated California 03s in a shootout 4-3 (3-1 SO).

The shootout featured nine attempts between both teams. California 03s' shootout goal was scored by David Hymovitch. In addition to the clincher, BC Junior Canucks got shootout goals from Caedan Bankier and Tyler Schweitzer.

BC Junior Canucks overcame a one-goal deficit to capture the victory. BC Junior Canucks was down 3-2 after a goal by California 03s' Parker Murray at 8:19 in the third period. BC Junior Canucks tied things up at 3-3 on a goal by Trevor Wong at 11:17 in the third period.

With three goals and three assists between them, Wong and Logan Stankoven teamed up to power BC Junior Canucks' offense. Wong registered two goals and one assist and Stankoven also notched one goal and two assists.

BC Junior Canucks cashed in on power play opportunities, scoring two goals on three chances.

BC Junior Canucks additionally got points from Stankoven, who also grabbed one goal and two assists to lead the team in points. More assists for BC Junior Canucks came via Ethan Samson and Noah Dorey, who contributed one a piece.

BC Junior Canucks was unable to stop California 03s from sending pucks towards the net, and California 03s eventually piled up 33 shots on goal.
