The Carleton Place Canadians and the Cornwall Colts were evenly matched throughout their contest, but Carleton Place made the most of its opportunities and won, 5-3.

Each team kept the other at bay throughout the game, and Evan Peterson secured the win for the Canadians with a goal in the third period.

Peterson had two goals to lead Carleton Place to victory.

Carleton Place additionally got points from Andy Sturtz, who also had one goal and two assists and Stephen Baylis, who also racked up one goal and one assist. Kelly Summers also scored for Carleton Place. In addition, Carleton Place received assists from Anthony McVeigh, who had one and Anthony Latina, who had two.

Justin Laforest made 25 saves for Carleton Place on 28 shots. The Canadians incurred 10 minutes in penalty time with five minors. James Edwardson recorded 23 saves for Cornwall. The Colts incurred eight minutes in penalty time with four minors.
