Kemptville rips Kanata, 6-2

The Kemptville 73s had a two-goal lead after two periods and cruised the rest of the way en route to a 6-2 win over the Kanata Stallions.

Jesse Blais was all over the ice for Kemptville, as he grabbed two goals in the win. Blais found the back of the net 5:29 into the second period to make the score 3-1 Kemptville and again while short handed 7:12 into the third to make the score 6-2 Kemptville.

The 73s excelled on the penalty kill, not giving up a single goal in four chances. Kemptville's offense rang up 39 shots on Kanata's net. The 73s bested their season scoring average. This season, Kemptville averages 3.4 goals per contest.

Kemptville additionally got points from Erik Brown, who also tallied one goal and one assist. Daniele Disipio also scored for Kemptville. In addition, Kemptville received assists from Quinn Wichers, Doug Harvey, Brandon Seatter, Quinn Carroll, Brandon Cole, and Dylan Giberson, who contributed one a piece and Cody Hendsbee and Alex Row, who each chipped in two.

The Stallions were helped by Alex Stothart, who registered one goal. Stothart scored 12:43 into the second period to make the score 3-2 Kemptville. Devin Fullum picked up the assist. Kanata also got a goal from Nicolas Tremblay as well. More assists for Kanata came via David Higgs, who had one.
