Brockville survives Hawkesbury comeback, wins 4-2

The Hawkesbury Hawks almost clawed their way back from a three-goal deficit, but the Brockville Braves managed to pull out a 4-2 win in the end.

Brockville led by three goals at one point and ended with the victory. The largest advantage in the game came when the Braves' Sean King's scored at 19:37 in the third period to put Brockville up 5-2.

The Braves were led by Ryan Cusin, who grabbed one goal and one assist. Cusin scored 12:33 into the third period to make the score 4-2 Brockville. Eric Israel picked up the assist.

Brockville stifled Hawkesbury's power play, and did not give up a single goal while down a man. The Hawks were unable to stop the Braves from sending pucks towards the net, and Brockville eventually piled up 39 shots on goal.

Brockville also got points from King, who also finished with one goal and one assist. Brockville also had goals scored by Jonathan Power, Cory Wilson, and Andrew Peski, who scored one goal each. In addition, Brockville received assists from Nathan Todd, Hayden Hulton, Brett Garvey, and Andrew Pikul, who each chipped in one.

Hawkesbury was helped by Nicolas Vlahos, who registered one goal. Vlahos scored 11:00 into the second period to make the score 3-1 Brockville. Curtis Colbary provided the assist. Antonio Roumeliotis also scored for Hawkesbury. Other players who recorded assists for Hawkesbury were Daniel Brickley, Carl Faucher, and Michael Guerrera, who contributed one a piece.

Pikul recorded 24 saves for the Braves. Brockville incurred 16 minutes in penalty time with eight minors. Gunner Rivers made 35 saves for the Hawks on 38 shots. Hawkesbury incurred 10 minutes in penalty time with five minors.
