Toronto Bulldogs hangs on, beats Team Minnesota 4-2

Toronto Bulldogs beat Team Minnesota, 4-2, in a contest where the winning goal was scored in the first period but the game remained close throughout.

Owain Johnston provided Toronto Bulldogs with the game-winning tally when he scored 10:47 into the the first period. Toronto Bulldogs earned a power play opportunity when Brandon Reller was put in the box for body checking. Tyler Hotson provided the assist.

Team Minnesota's power play was ineffective against Toronto Bulldogs' penalty kill, which allowed zero goals while shorthanded.

Toronto Bulldogs was led by Johnston, who grabbed one goal.

Toronto Bulldogs excelled on the penalty kill, not giving up a single goal in eight chances. Toronto Bulldogs could not stay out of the penalty box, as the team accrued 16 minutes in penalties during the game.

Toronto Bulldogs also got points from Brennan Ottmann, who also tallied one goal and one assist. Luca Del-Bel-Belluz also scored for Toronto Bulldogs. Other players who recorded assists for Toronto Bulldogs were Francesco Arcuri, who had one.

Team Minnesota was helped by Chaz C.H. Lucius, who had one goal. C.H. Lucius scored 4:55 into the first period to make the score 2-1 Team Minnesota. Cruz C.E. Lucius picked up the assist. Team Minnesota also got a goal from Evan Pahos as well. More assists for Team Minnesota came via Jackson Blake and Luke Mittelstadt, who contributed one a piece.

Anson Thornton recorded 16 saves for Toronto Bulldogs. Toronto Bulldogs registered two goals on five power play opportunities. Anton Castro made 19 saves for Team Minnesota on 23 shots. Team Minnesota incurred 10 minutes in penalty time with five minors.
