Wenatchee downs Fairbanks, 3-1

Brian Williams had one point to lead the Wenatchee Wild to a 3-1 victory over the Fairbanks Ice Dogs.

The win by Wenatchee clinched the best of five series at 3-2.

The Wild stifled Fairbanks' power play, and did not give up a single goal while down a man.

Wenatchee additionally got points from Jono Davis, who also finished with one goal and one assist to lead the team in points. Jacob Barber also scored for Wenatchee. Other players who recorded assists for Wenatchee were Joshua Hartley, who had one.

The Ice Dogs' penalty kill was spotless, allowing no goals on three Wenatchee power plays.

Fairbanks was led by Jacob Hetz, who scored the team's only goal. Hetz scored 5:56 into the second period to make the score 1-0 Fairbanks. Nick Hinz picked up the assist.

Robert Nichols made 17 saves for Wenatchee on 18 shots. The Wild incurred 12 minutes in penalty time with six minors. Steve Perry rejected 23 shots on goal for the Ice Dogs. Fairbanks incurred 18 minutes in penalty time with four minors.
