Team Ohio was within striking distance after one period, but Team Midwest put the pedal down in the second en route to a 6-1 victory.

Team Midwest was paced by Alexander Turin, who had one goal and one assist. Turin scored on the power play 4:20 into the second period to make the score 2-0 Team Midwest. A hooking penalty on Stephen Pack had put Team Midwest on the power play. Christian Argyros picked up the assist.

Team Midwest additionally got points from Argyros, who also finished with one goal and one assist and Mike Lozano, who also registered one goal and one assist to lead the team in points. Lukas Daniels also scored for Team Midwest. Other players who recorded assists for Team Midwest were Cory Kettler and Simon Koscielski, who each chipped in one.

Team Midwest took out Alex Reichle after he had made nine saves and installed Clint Steinmeyer in goal, where he finished with nine saves and the win.
