Team Ohio falls apart in second, loses to Team Midwest, 6-1DPA-Stars Sun, May 12, 2013 Story by Narrative Science.
Team Ohio was within striking distance after one period, but Team Midwest put the pedal down in the second en route to a 6-1 victory. Team Midwest was paced by Alexander Turin, who had one goal and one assist. Turin scored on the power play 4:20 into the second period to make the score 2-0 Team Midwest. A hooking penalty on Stephen Pack had put Team Midwest on the power play. Christian Argyros picked up the assist. Team Midwest additionally got points from Argyros, who also finished with one goal and one assist and Mike Lozano, who also registered one goal and one assist to lead the team in points. Lukas Daniels also scored for Team Midwest. Other players who recorded assists for Team Midwest were Cory Kettler and Simon Koscielski, who each chipped in one. Team Midwest took out Alex Reichle after he had made nine saves and installed Clint Steinmeyer in goal, where he finished with nine saves and the win. Team Midwest incurred 10 minutes in penalty time with five minors. Joseph Moza made four saves before being replaced by David Heflin, who took the loss and made seven saves. Team Ohio incurred 12 minutes in penalty time with six minors.
