Sprink's goals lift Team Minnesota to 4-1 victory over Team Michigan

Behind a great game by Jared Sprink, who had two goals, Team Minnesota defeated Team Michigan, 4-1.

Sprink scored at 12:22 into the first period to make the score 1-0 Team Minnesota and again while 14:03 into the first to make the score 2-0 Team Minnesota.

Team Minnesota excelled on the penalty kill, not giving up a single goal in four chances.

Ian Ecklund also scored for Team Minnesota. More assists for Team Minnesota came via Tate Sykes, Jonathon Plaszcz, Garrett Skinner, Chase Myers-Beck, Alex Yde, Mitchell Gwost, Shane Hill, and Erikur Arnason, who each chipped in one.

Team Michigan stifled Team Minnesota's power play, and did not give up a single goal while down a man. Team Minnesota's defense shut down Team Michigan's forwards for much of the game, and Team Michigan got off only 13 shots during the contest.

Team Michigan was led by Austin Hill, who scored the team's only goal. Hill scored 6:54 into the third period to make the score 3-1 Team Minnesota. Christopher Skordilis assisted on the tally.

Erikur Arnason made 12 saves for Team Minnesota on 13 shots. Team Minnesota totaled 13 minutes in penalty time with four minors and one major and went 0-for-6 on the power play. Spencer Craig took the loss and made 15 saves before being replaced by Anders Franke who made seven saves. Team Michigan ended with 25 minutes in penalty time with five minors and one major.
