Team Michigan wins tough contest against Team Central, 5-3

The game between Team Michigan and Team Central was tight through all 60 minutes, but in the end Team Michigan emerged with a 5-3 win.

Team Michigan gained the winning advantage on a goal by Connor Colombe 5:50 into the third period and hung on until final buzzer.

Austin Murray had two goals to lead Team Michigan to victory. Murray found the back of the net 13:52 into the first period to make the score 1-0 Team Michigan and again while 15:17 into the second to make the score 3-3.

Team Michigan forced Team Central's goalies to work all game long, firing 47 shots and forcing 42 saves. Jaxson Gosnell made 19 stops and Bradley Amato made 23. Team Michigan excelled on the penalty kill, not giving up a single goal in three chances.

Ian Wiljanen also scored for Team Michigan. Other players who recorded assists for Team Michigan were Tommy Dierl, who had two and Connor Horowitz and Ted Morrissey, who contributed one a piece.

Team Central made Team Michigan's goaltenders to work in net, ripping 36 shots and forcing 33 saves. Nick Light made 17 stops and Matthew MacInnis made 16.

Team Central was helped by Braiden Miller, who finished with one goal. Miller scored 10:45 into the second period to make the score 2-2. Team Central also got a goal from Alex Klaesner as well. In addition, Team Central received assists from Trevor Thornton and Ondrej Valo, who each chipped in one.

Team Michigan incurred 16 minutes in penalty time with three minors. Team Central incurred four minutes in penalty time with two minors.
