The Wichita Thunder used a sparkling performance by Torrie Jung to take down the Fort Worth Brahmas, as the netminder did not allow a goal in Wichita's 3-0 shutout victory. After the loss made the series score 3-0 in the best of seven series, Fort Worth faces elimination next time out. The Thunder were sparked by Matt Robinson, who had one goal. Robinson scored on the power play 18 seconds into the second period to make the score 1-0 Wichita. RG Flath picked up the assist. Wichita stifled the Brahmas' power play, and did not give up a single goal while down a man. The Thunder's offense was helped by the efforts of their defensemen, who managed to put 11 shots on net during the game. Wichita also got points from Matt Summers, who also registered one goal and one assist and Les Reaney, who also tallied one goal and one assist to lead the team in points. Other players who recorded assists for Wichita were Todd Griffith, Chad Painchaud, and Kevin Young, who each chipped in one. Fort Worth was led by Phil Fox, who took five shots. Jung recorded 29 saves for Wichita. The Thunder incurred 10 minutes in penalty time with five minors. The Brahmas' Brad Fogal stopped 22 shots out of the 24 that he faced. Fort Worth incurred 12 minutes in penalty time with six minors.
