Ross MacKinnon recorded a shutout against the Knoxville Ice Bears as the Pensacola Ice Flyers picked up a 1-0 win. The win by Pensacola clinched the best of three series at 2-0. Patrick Knowlton's game-winning tally was the game's only goal. It came at 9:07 in the third period. Brandon Vossberg picked up the assist. The Ice Flyers were led by Knowlton, who had one goal. Pensacola put up an impenetrable defensive front on the penalty kill, and did not allow Knoxville to score on any of its three power plays. The Ice Flyers forced the Ice Bears goalie Bryan Hince to work between the pipes, taking 47 shots. More assists for Pensacola came via Tyler Soehner, who had one.
