The Huntsville Havoc's Nick Lazorko had a big offensive game, scoring two goals and contributing one assist in his team's 5-1 win over the Louisiana IceGators. Lazorko scored on the power play at 14:28 into the first period to make the score 2-1 Huntsville and again while 16:34 into the first to make the score 3-1 Huntsville.The win by Huntsville clinched the best of three series at 2-1. The Havoc's penalty kill excelled, as Huntsville gave up one goal despite allowing eight power plays. The Havoc was effective with a man advantage, and put in three goals while on the power play. Huntsville additionally got points from Mike Gurtler, who also had one goal and one assist. Huntsville also got a goal from Sam Cannata as well. Other players who recorded assists for Huntsville were Justin Cseter, who had three and Lee McClure, Leland Fidler, Stuart Stefan, Justin Fox, and Corey Fulton, who contributed one a piece. Louisiana relied on a core group of players for most of its offense, as Kirk Byczynski, Matthew Robertson and Matt Miller took 13 of the team's 21 shots. More assists for Louisiana came via Jeremey Boyer and Robert Short, who each chipped in one. Jesse Kallechy rejected 20 shots on goal for Huntsville. The Havoc incurred 16 minutes in penalty time with eight minors. Dustin Carlson recorded 25 saves for the IceGators. Louisiana incurred six minutes in penalty time with three minors.
