Host U18 tried to dig itself out of a four-goal hole, but Atlantic U18 held on for a 4-2 victory. Atlantic U18 took a 4-0 lead during the third period, only to have Host U18 storm back on a Jonathan Stickel goal 17:11 into the third period to pull to two goals down. Atlantic U18 stifled Host U18's power play, and did not give up a single goal while down a man. Atlantic U18 was led by Alec Weinberg, who grabbed one goal and two assists. Weinberg scored 10:41 into the third period to make the score Atlantic U18. Atlantic U18 also got points from Alex Gleason, who also tallied one goal and one assist. Atlantic U18 also got a goal from Axelsson Jon as well. In addition, Atlantic U18 received assists from Kevin Kerr, Eric Robinson, and Ron Greco, who each chipped in one. Host U18 put up an impenetrable defensive front on the penalty kill, and did not allow Atlantic U18 to score on any of its three power plays. Matthew Michalke also scored for Host U18. More assists for Host U18 came via Kyle Williams, Patrick Hannan, Michael Gornall, and Chris Shero, who contributed one a piece. Kevin Gollmer recorded 27 saves for Atlantic U18. Atlantic U18 incurred 10 minutes in penalty time with five minors. Host U18's Colin DeAugustine stopped 17 shots out of the 21 that he faced. Host U18 incurred eight minutes in penalty time with four minors.
