 Huge game by Fields boosts Peoria over St. Louis, 5-2Fox Valley NHL Rink    Wed, Mar 27, 2013 Story by Narrative Science. Lyndon Fields had one goal and two assists to lead the Peoria Mustangs to a 5-2 victory over the St. Louis Jr. Blues.Fields got on the board by slotting home a power play goal 17:23 into the third period to make the score 4-2 Peoria. Peoria earned a power play opportunity when Simon Koscielski was put in the box for slashing. Alexander Turin picked up the assist. Fields dished an assist on Connor Millard's goal that made the score 1-0 Peoria at 11:03 into the first period. He added another helper on Turin's goal that made the score 3-0 Peoria at 18:54 into the second period. The win gave the Mustangs a 1-0 lead in the best of one series. Peoria put up an impenetrable defensive front on the penalty kill, and did not allow St. Louis to score on any of its three power plays. Peoria additionally got points from Turin, who also had one goal and one assist and Cody Lichtenvoort, who also registered one goal and one assist. Peoria also got a goal from Chance Homerin as well. More assists for Peoria came via Cory Kettler, who had three and Nikolas Sakellaropoulos and Robert Norton, who each chipped in one. The Jr. Blues were helped by Trey Dodd, who tallied one goal. Dodd scored 2:11 into the third period to make the score 3-1 Peoria. Kyle Meeh provided the assist. Cody Fedak also scored for St. Louis. In addition, St. Louis received assists from Cody Guidorzi and Brycon Johnson, who contributed one a piece. Michael Parda rejected 26 shots on goal for the Mustangs. Peoria incurred eight minutes in penalty time with four minors. Mikael Broliden recorded 15 saves for St. Louis. The Jr. Blues incurred 10 minutes in penalty time with five minors.
