The Nepean Raiders survived a determined comeback attempt by the Ottawa Senators on the way to a 2-1 win. Nepean made the score 2-0 on a goal by Kenneth Neil at 6:39 in the second period, and Ottawa got as close as 2-1 when Eric Clitsome scored 8:36 into the third period. The win by the Raiders clinched the best of seven series at 4-3. Nepean was led by goalie Ryan Mulder, who finished with 29 saves while allowing one goal. Mulder certainly lowered his goals against average, which was 1.88 entering the contest. Nepean also got a goal from Mitchell Herlihey as well. More assists for Nepean came via Dalen Hedges, Phil Nasca, and Philippe Drouin, who contributed one a piece. Other players who recorded assists for Ottawa were Owen Werthner, who had one. The Raiders incurred four minutes in penalty time with two minors. Charlie Millen rejected 27 shots on goal for the Senators. Ottawa incurred six minutes in penalty time with three minors.
