Mississippi RiverKings had a three-goal lead after two periods and cruised the rest of the way en route to a 5-2 win over the Louisiana IceGators. Mississippi RiverKings evened the best of three series at 1-1 and forced a deciding game three. Darrell Stoddard had one goal and two assists to lead Mississippi RiverKings. Stoddard scored 9:12 into the second period to make the score 3-0 Mississippi RiverKings. Tom Craig assisted on the tally. Mississippi RiverKings made IceGators' netminders to work between the pipes, taking 37 shots and forcing 32 saves. Dustin Carlson made 22 stops and Breton Lindoff made 10. Mississippi RiverKings stifled Louisiana's power play, and did not give up a single goal while down a man.
