Wichita downs Arizona, 3-0

Ian Lowe grabbed one point to lead the Wichita Thunder to a 3-0 victory over the Arizona Sundogs.

The win gave Wichita a 2-0 lead in the best of seven series.

The Thunder's penalty kill was spotless, allowing no goals on four Arizona power plays. Wichita kept Arizona's goalie busy throughout the game, and David Brown made 30 saves on 33 shots.

Matt Summers also scored for Wichita. Other players who recorded assists for Wichita were Andrew Martens, who had two and Gregor Hanson, Chad Painchaud, Jon Madden, and Matt Robinson, who contributed one a piece.

The Sundogs did not challenge the opposing netminder, only getting 11 shots on net to force 11 saves.

Arizona was led by Jason Morgan, who took three shots.

Torrie Jung rejected 11 shots on goal for the Thunder. Wichita incurred 10 minutes in penalty time with five minors. The Sundogs incurred 12 minutes in penalty time with six minors.
