Campbell's hat trick boosts South Shore over Islanders, 5-2

Owen Campbell lifted the South Shore Kings to a 5-2 victory with a hat trick against Islanders.

Campbell got on the scoresheet 9:40 into the first period. He then added goals at 18:04 into the first and at 19:08 into the third.

Islanders was unable to stop South Shore from sending pucks towards the net, and the Kings eventually piled up 34 shots on goal. South Shore found itself short handed often, totaling 14 penalty minutes and allowing five power plays. The Kings got an offensive boost from their blueliners, who contributed three goals during the game.

South Shore additionally got points from Philip Falkof, who also registered one goal and one assist. South Shore also got a goal from Evan Jacques as well. Other players who recorded assists for South Shore were Daniel Clifford, who had three and William Cara-Donna, Corey Flynn, and Nicholas Bertoni, who each chipped in one.

Islanders excelled on the penalty kill, not giving up a single goal in four chances. Islanders kept South Shore's goalie busy throughout the game, and Kory LeBlanc made 31 saves on 33 shots.

Islanders was helped by Kirill Frolov, who racked up one goal. Frolov scored on the power play 12:34 into the first period to make the score 1-1. Islanders had gained a power play chance when Campbell was whistled for too many men. Bradford Anderson provided the assist. Jonathan Pate also scored for Islanders. In addition, Islanders received assists from Christopher Maksut, who had one.

Brenden Tidman rejected 29 shots on goal for Islanders. Islanders incurred 14 minutes in penalty time with seven minors.
