CAMBRIDGE survives penalties, beats MISSISSAUGA, 3-0Iceland Arena Sun, Mar 17, 2013 Story by Narrative Science.
CAMBRIDGE, which found itself down a man often, weathered MISSISSAUGA's power play opportunities and emerged with a 3-0 victory. With the win, CAMBRIDGE evened the series at 1-1 in the best of five showdown. CAMBRIDGE was led by Kaileigh Grant (A), who had one goal and one assist. CAMBRIDGE put up an impenetrable defensive front on the penalty kill, and did not allow MISSISSAUGA to score on any of its seven power plays. CAMBRIDGE also got a goal from Marcie Landman as well. In addition, CAMBRIDGE received assists from Hannah Askin, who had one and Taytum Clairmont, who had two. Julia Vandyk rejected 21 shots on goal for CAMBRIDGE. CAMBRIDGE incurred 16 minutes in penalty time with eight minors. Alysia DaSilva recorded 18 saves for MISSISSAUGA. MISSISSAUGA incurred 24 minutes in penalty time with seven minors.
