Buffalo boosted by Gahagen's play in net, beats North York 2-1

Parker Gahagen stood on his head and made 37 saves to lead the Buffalo Jr. Sabres to a 2-1 victory over the North York Rangers.

After the loss made the series score 2-3 in the best of seven series, North York faces elimination next time out.

Buffalo was led by Michael APM Ederer, who had one goal. APM Ederer scored 8:54 into the third period to make the score 2-1 Buffalo. Nolan Sheeran assisted on the tally.

The Jr. Sabres kept the Rangers' goalie busy throughout the game, and Jason Pucciarelli made 41 saves on 43 shots. Buffalo did not rack up many penalties in the contest, finishing with a minimal one minor for two minutes in penalty time.

Tyler Gjurich also scored for Buffalo. In addition, Buffalo received assists from Ryan Schmelzer, Alex Dagnal, and Smith Nick, who each chipped in one.

North York forced the Jr. Sabres goalie Gahagen to work between the pipes, taking 38 shots.

The Rangers were led by Taylor Pryce, who scored the team's only goal. Pryce scored 18:31 into the first period to make the score 1-0 North York.

Buffalo registered one goal on three power play opportunities. North York incurred six minutes in penalty time with three minors. For the Rangers, Matthew Whittaker was ejected from the game.
