Matt Buckles netted a hat trick to lead the St. Michaels Buzzers over the Georgetown Raiders, 6-2. Buckles' first goal came 7:56 into the first period. He then added goals at 13:03 into the first and at 15:01 into the third.The win by St. Michaels clinched the best of seven series at 4-1. The Buzzers gained an early advantage, leading 4-0 by the end of the first period. St. Michaels forced Georgetown's netminders to work in net, finishing with 35 shots and forcing 29 saves. Gabe Grunwald made five stops and Keegan Wilson made 24. The Buzzers stifled the Raiders' power play, and did not give up a single goal while down a man. St. Michaels also got points from Shane Conacher, who also finished with one goal and one assist and Matt Galati, who also registered one goal and one assist. St. Michaels also got a goal from Ian Edmondson as well. More assists for St. Michaels came via David Italiano, who had two, Michael Neville, who had three, and Jake Clements, Troy Josephs, Jake Evans, Patrick McCarron, and Adrian Ignagni, who contributed one a piece. Georgetown's offense rang up 37 shots on St. Michaels' net. The Raiders were led by Tyler MacPherson, who tallied one goal. MacPherson scored 14:05 into the second period to make the score 4-2 St. Michaels. Steve Hladin picked up the assist. Nick Perruccio also scored for Georgetown. In addition, Georgetown received assists from Alex Adams, who had one. The Buzzers' Ignagni stopped 35 shots out of the 37 that he faced. St. Michaels incurred six minutes in penalty time with three minors. The Buzzers ran into serious disciplinary problems during the contest, and Josephs was ejected from the game. Georgetown incurred 14 minutes in penalty time with seven minors.
