Florida Eels' Brien Thompson had a big offensive game, scoring two goals and contributing one assist in his team's 5-1 win over Space Coast Hurricanes.

Thompson found the back of the net on the power play 7:42 into the first period to make the score 1-0 Florida Eels and again while on the power play 13:00 into the first to make the score 2-0 Florida Eels.

The win gave Florida Eels a 1-0 lead in the best of one series.

Space Coast Hurricanes was doomed by its poor performance on special teams, as Florida Eels was able to score four times while on the power play.

Team's forwards weren't the only contributers offensively, and the team's defensemen showcased their scoring touch with three goals.

Florida Eels also got points from Joey Colatarci, who also had one goal and one assist and Steven Prince, who also grabbed one goal and one assist. Florida Eels also got a goal from Daniel Filler as well. More assists for Florida Eels came via Zachery Mudge, who had two and Vasili Malliaras and Fredrik Wink, who contributed one a piece.

Space Coast Hurricanes was led by Jack Musil, who scored the team's only goal. Musil scored on the power play 17:13 into the second period to make the score 3-1 Florida Eels. Space Coast Hurricanes had taken the advantage when Florida Eels' Prince got sent off for hit after whistle. Jamie Chilcott provided the assist.

Florida Eels incurred 20 minutes in penalty time with 10 minors. Space Coast Hurricanes incurred 22 minutes in penalty time with 11 minors.
