The two teams needed 16 turns to complete the shootout. Brisbane Goannas' shootout goal was scored by Michelle Clark-Crumpton. North Star Sirens also got a shootout goal from Melissa Rulli.North Star Sirens' penalty kill was spotless, allowing no goals on three Brisbane Goannas power plays. North Star Sirens put 32 shots on net during the contest, more than the 2.7 it averages per game. North Star Sirens was helped by Sharna Godfrey, who tallied two goals. Godfrey scored the first of her two goals at 3:39 into the first period to make the score 1-0 North Star Sirens. Amelia Matheson provided the assist. Godfrey's next tally made the score 2-1 North Star Sirens with 10:21 left in the first period. Kaylee White also scored for North Star Sirens.
